Had problems on arrival we booked and paid for room originally through Booking .com and the receptionist could not find the reservation 2675398975 on the Comfort Inn computer site and even though I had the reservation receipt on my phone still the issue couldn't be resolved. Couldn't contact Booking.com Amsterdam is 5 hours in front of US time so it was approximately 2:30 am over in Europe so no answer. The receptionist was extremely helpful and was able to allocate a room to us at a discounted seniors rate for which we were grateful as we had been driving from Canada for over 10 hours and were feeling some what fatigued. Never had problems with reserving rooms through Booking .com before and have used them several times when traveling down into the US, I did get in touch with them and they assured me that Comfort Inn had accepted the reservation and as far as they were concerned my room should have been scheduled. Unfortunately we have been unable to retrieve our initial payment needless to say we will not be using their services again but as you can see from the survey our stay was very pleasant even though more expensive than originally expected, except for the miss communication between Booking.com and Comfort Inn we enjoyed our stay in Charleston W.V.

Surprisingly modern and updated and exceptionally clean! Staff was professional, polite, and genuinely friendly! I expressed at check-in, how exhausted I was, and coming down, ill from my long day of traveling. The young woman checking me in picked up on this and didn’t miss a beat, placed me in a beautiful room on the third floor, quiet and facing the river on the backside.  I had an exceptionally comfortable and quiet stay and enjoyed a hot breakfast with a large variety of foods to choose from! I Wright, my experience, five star, one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in years !

The weather was bad with lightening storms that took out the power. The front desk crew was personable and accommodating with us, and all the other potential guests wandering in from the storm. There was an air of comradery in the lobby, in the dark, while we all waited for the power to come on so we could get into rooms. The front desk guy suggested we book online to save time when the power came on. They provided water for the travelers while we waited. Two hours later when the power came back on we were in our room within minutes!

The location was perfect for what I needed and the place was very clean overall. Matt helped me check in. After I checked out the next morning, I got a call from Matt that I left something of value in my room. I was able to go back and get it and I am very grateful to him. The bed was comfortable, the temperature of the room was great, it was clean. The area felt safe and the people were so friendly.

The staff was great and accommodating, I was able to stay in a good, clean hotel near the hospital for my moms surgery the next morning. The front desk worker was very understanding of this situation and allowed us to stay still even though they have a new rule of not allowing locals within a 20 mile radius…Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean.
