I was in town for a funeral and needed an inexpensive place to stay for one night. This was the highest-rated place circa $100 in the area on a weekend. I haven't stayed with a mid range hotel chain in many years. It was perfect. The location is near restaurants, gas stations, etc. but was still very quiet. The king room bed was so comfortable. Everything seemed very clean. The check in staff was great. The funeral was in Belle, the dinner was in Charleston, near the Capitol. It took less than 15 minutes from downtown to the hotel, it was an easy drive, and it was a fraction of the price of the downtown hotels. In the morning, the 7am breakfast buffet was hot and clean and absolutely fine. My 90yo mother accidentally made a small mess with the MYO waffle syrup, and the staff was super friendly and nice to her and took care of it right away. We left, stopped next door to fill up the gas tank, and we were back on the highway in probably less than 5 minutes. No frills, but I have certainly paid a lot more for much less.

Surprisingly modern and updated and exceptionally clean! Staff was professional, polite, and genuinely friendly! I expressed at check-in, how exhausted I was, and coming down, ill from my long day of traveling. The young woman checking me in picked up on this and didn’t miss a beat, placed me in a beautiful room on the third floor, quiet and facing the river on the backside. I had an exceptionally comfortable and quiet stay and enjoyed a hot breakfast with a large variety of foods to choose from! I Wright, my experience, five star, one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in years !

The weather was bad with lightening storms that took out the power. The front desk crew was personable and accommodating with us, and all the other potential guests wandering in from the storm. There was an air of comradery in the lobby, in the dark, while we all waited for the power to come on so we could get into rooms. The front desk guy suggested we book online to save time when the power came on. They provided water for the travelers while we waited. Two hours later when the power came back on we were in our room within minutes!

The location was perfect for what I needed and the place was very clean overall. Matt helped me check in. After I checked out the next morning, I got a call from Matt that I left something of value in my room. I was able to go back and get it and I am very grateful to him. The bed was comfortable, the temperature of the room was great, it was clean. The area felt safe and the people were so friendly.

Good hotel 10 minutes from WV Capital Center Liked · We had requested an accessible room, and got a nice large room with great space and a nice roll-in shower. The bed was very comfortable and had lots of pillows. We liked that there were separate reading lights next to the bed. Breakfast was good.
